TEIDE. It´s the symbol of the island, a must for all visitors. With a cablecar you can reach the upper area which is close to the crater. Costs are aprox. 30€. It is a unique and beautiful landscape, with impressive surroundings that should not be missed. Please bring a sun protection cream, a warm jacket and good shoes.

La Laguna. This might not be the best place to relax, but you should pay a visit to the university city of La Laguna. You can combine this visit with a tour to the North of the island. It´s a perfect place to go shopping or have a cup of tea or coffee. It´s a cultural and very old city with many restored buildings and churches.

Santa Cruz is the main city of the island and where the unique auditorium is located, an aesthetically pleasing modern opera house with a huge main hall and a 50m high overhanging roof. Most of the sights and museums are based within easy walking distance from Plaza Espana – the central hub. You will also find plenty of shops,restaurants and pubs In the city centre there is a lovely park where you can enjoy the canarian flora.

The Anaga mountains. This is a protected nature space, where you will find the “Laurisilva” also called “the enchanted forest”. It´s unique in the world and it has lots of wonderfull hikes for all nature lovers, but there are also options for those who only want to go for a short walk. The Anaga mountains are close to La Laguna, which invites to combine both visits.

El Sauzal. The wine house. If you want to taste a glass of local wine or take part in a wine tasting tour, this is the perfect place. Here you could buy presents for your loved ones´at home or for yourself. You could combine this visit with the north of the island.

La Orotava. A wonderful valley, surrounded by banana plantations, little villages and gorgeous old buildings, with the typical interior “canarian patio”. You should seen it! “La Casa de los Balcones” is famous for their handycrafts, which can be admired as well as bought there.

Puerto de la Cruz. Famous tourist area of the island and much aprecciated by elderly people. From here, if the weather is good, you have gorgeous views to mount Teide. There are lots of entertainments as the natural pools “Lago Martiánez”, many restaurants and bars. Also very well-known is the Loro Park, with lots of animals.

Garachico. A quiet and small village at the extreme north coast, with natural pools formed by lava.

Punta de Teno. The end of the island. A mini village, very far and calm, with a lighthouse.

Masca. An idyllic small place located in a canyon. For all nature lovers is this a real paradise. Mostly all tourists visit this area. There is a beautiful hike down to the coast, where you could be picked up by a boat to Los Gigantes. The tickets for the boat can be bought directly in Masca or in Santiago del Teide. For this hike you should be in good conditions, wear good shoes and carry enough water.

Vilaflor. Spain´s highest village. It´s in the middle of a pine tree forest and close to the south area of mount Teide.

Güímar. Pyramids of Güímar. Pyramids in Tenerife!! With a lovely museum and a nice walk.

Whalewatching. An incredible adventure! If you love animals, you have to take part of this excursion! The price for a trip of 3 hours is approx. 25€ per person. You could also charter your private boat which of course would be a lot more expensive. Whales and very often also dolphins can be seen all year round. This is always an incredible day.

Icod de los Vinos. Here you will see the millenary “Drago” tree, an authentic nature prodigy. This village is located in a fruitful valley and offers impressive views of mount Teide and its forest.

Los Gigantes. It´s a marine village with a modern sport harbour. It is famous for it´s cliff line “Acantilados de los Gigantes” with immensive vertical walls. With a medium high of 450 metres. A visit is always worthwhile. It also is a marine paradise for it´s large existence of sea animals such as dolphins and turtles.
